Where suspense & romance collide with an even Bigger Faith…

N. Y. DUNLAP

“Her confidence in him twisted his gut; her brother had died while he’d sat paralyzed, prisoner to his painful past.”

Great quote from Susan Furlong’s Murder in the Appalachians which attests to how the backstory to this book is super powerful. The fact that Logan was the last person to see Emma’s brother alive—the doctor who tried to resuscitate him. Wow! I am absolutely a fan of backstory and this one was woven into the story very well adding to the tension and making me root for their happily ever after!

Christian takeaway: TEN STARS! If I could give this story extra stars, I would. The pivotal moment where Emma is in pain and wants to connect with Jesus, but intrusive thoughts lie to her really tugged my heart. She is truly an overcomer. The epilogue wrapped up the story very well, and the author’s note was an added bonus reminding me that Christian authors have a calling. Good job. A must read.
