The above includes my favorite line from Fire Mountain by Dana Mentik. A handsome stranger, a female truck driver and a sweet baby affectionately named Tot are in a world of trouble. Tot’s mom is missing, presumed dead, while Cullen and Kit will do anything to keep her safe.
I didn’t know there were volcanoes in United States (aside from Hawaii). What a unique spin to an amazing adventure thriller. I loved the opposites for the grumpy and sunshine as well as breaking barriers with regard to Kit’s job. The story seamlessly pulled in both main characters backstory, while leaving me intrigued for more. My only issue was Kit’s wanting to return for her rig. There was an explanation. The explanation was mehhhh. Nothing in the world would’ve made me leave Cullen, or anyone else willing to help me make it back to normal civilization lol.
Lastly here is my favorite Christian quote: “You are your own judge, and you’ve decided you’re not forgiven. You. Not God.” The statement landed like an ember thrown onto a bed of parched grass. He felt the fire burning through his flimsy walls, the sweep of flames cleansing away the chaff.** The quote from this story is amazing, and this is a must-read Christian, romantic suspense!
